Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas was created by the merger in March 1992, of Construccione Y Contratas and Fomento De Obras Y Construcciones. The company while still operating and maintaining the majority of its revenue through its construction arm has deversified into the services and cement industry. The company is also involved in solid waste collection and disposal, street-cleaning, water supply, maintenance of drinking and waste water treatment plants.
