Meggitt wins $57m thermal management deal in Canada
Aerospace, defence and energy engineering group Meggitt has won a $57.3m contract to provide heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for combat vehicles in Canada.
The work, with General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) Canada, will provide cooling and heating to driver and crew.
"The size, weight and power-optimised HVAC system leverages Meggitt's leading capability in mission-critical, supplemental vapour cycle systems for ground combat and military aircraft platforms," Meggitt said.
The contract extends the companies' decade-long relationship, which has seen Meggitt deliver thermal management systems for the M1A2 SEP version of the Abrams main battle tank.
The stock was down 0.4% at 476.3p in early deals on Tuesday.
