Ocado gross group sales up 17%; sees trading slightly ahead
Gross group sales at online supermarket delivery and retail group Ocado rose 17% to £272m in the third quarter of the year, with average orders per week jumping 16.6% to 190,000.

The average order size fell 1.1% to £110.46, Ocado said. Group sales take in includes the benefits from the company's agreement with Morrison and retail businesses. Gross sales include revenue plus VAT and marketing vouchers.
Gross sales from retail were up 15.3% to £252m. These include to the results of Ocado.com, Fetch.co.uk and Sizzle.co.uk.
Chief executive Tim Steiner said he expected future growth to be “slightly ahead of the online grocery market”.
"We are pleased with the continued steady growth of our business in a retail environment that remains tough,” he added.
"We believe our commitment to improving what we offer to customers through innovation and our proprietary IP will support further growth.”
