The company’s chief executive Tom Enders said on Monday that testing flights would go ahead as planned in order to "demonstrate to our customers, the air forces, that we fully trust this great transport plane and are as committed to the programme and the further ramp-up of deliveries and capabilities as ever".
“The men who lost their lives in Seville were great professionals, they knew about the risks of their job and they wouldn't want us to stop flying,” he added.
Investigators have already recovered the black boxes and will examine them to shed light on the possible causes of the crash.
France, which has six of these aircrafts, said it would only carry out "top priority flights" until the causes of the crash are unveiled, while the UK, Germany and Turkey halted the aircraft’s usage.
