UK government "stepping up" plans for possible 'Grexit'
A spokeswoman for Number 10 said on Wednesday that the government is “stepping up” plans for a possible ‘Grexit’, to assess the impact it would have on businesses, banks, tourism and the financial sector.
She told reporters: "You can expect that we are continuing to make sure we have the right plans in place and stepping up preparations given where discussions have got to."
Greece is currently deadlocked in negotiations with its creditors, with its €1.5bn debt repayment to the International Monetary Fund due by the end of this month.
