Entering & Editing your holding

If you are monitoring shares that you already own, you may wish to enter your holding amount and transaction costs.

Step One: Click on the ‘add shares’ button next to the security name in your portfolio.

Step Two: Choose whether this transaction is a Buy or a Sell

Step Three: Put how many shares were bought or sold.

Step Four: Input how much you paid for these shares.

Remember: this is in pence not pounds!

Step Five: Input how much commission you were charged.

Step Six: Input how much Stamp duty you were charged.

Step Seven: Finally, put in the date that this transaction happened.

Step Eight: Click on “Save Trade”.

You will then be taken to the “Transaction History” page where you will be able to check that the details are correct.

If they are not then you can go back and change them by clicking on “Edit”

You will be taken to “Edit Transaction” page where you can make your changes.

If they are correct then you can click on “View Portfolio >>>” link which will take you to the Portfolio Summary page.

You can now see whether you Portfolio is in Profit or Loss by looking at the Profit/Loss column.

Please note that if you make multiple purchases or sales of a single security,

The security will only show up once in your portfolio but all transactions will be included in the holding, holding value and profit/loss calculations.

If you make a mistake, click on the ‘history’ button to edit your holding details.
