Kier selected as preferred bidder on £170m first phase of London construction project

Kier Group plc ("Kier"), the integrated property, residential, construction and services group, announces that it has been selected as preferred bidder by the Greenland Group to deliver the £170m first phase of The Ram Quarter, a major flagship regeneration scheme in Wandsworth, London. This award reflects Kier's strength in the building regeneration sector.

The Ram Quarter will be delivered in three phases, with a total value of around £600m. Kier will deliver 411,000sq ft of new build residential and retail space. In addition to this, the first phase of the project also includes the 56,000sq ft refurbishment and remodelling of the Grade II listed brewery complex, creating restaurants, boutique shops, cafés and bars, a micro-brewery, a brewery museum and residential units. Kier is commencing enabling works this month with phase one scheduled for completion in early 2017.
