Appointment of Non-executive Director

Majestic Wine PLC, the UK's largest wine specialist which recently acquired Naked Wines, a customer funded international online wine business is pleased to announce the appointment to the Board of Anita Balchandani as a non-executive Director with effect from 10 June 2015.

Anita Balchandani, aged 41, is a Partner and Sector Head of the UK Retail Practice for OC&C Strategy Consultants, a leading international consulting firm.  Anita is also a non-executive Director at the luxury beauty retailer, Space NK Apothecary, which has 85 retail locations and ecommerce operations in the UK and US.  She has previously held senior management positions at Shop Direct and Asda Walmart.

Anita brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board from her experience of working with clients to make the transition towards successful multichannel operating models and unlocking insight and value from customer data. She also has extensive international experience having worked in Asia, Europe and the United States.
