Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Murray Income Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Michael (Mike) Balfour as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 11 February 2016.

Mr Balfour is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and recently stepped down as CEO of Thomas Miller Investment, an investment management company headquartered in London. Prior to that Mr Balfour was the CEO of Glasgow Investment Managers until 2007 and before that was the Chief Investment Officer of Edinburgh Fund Managers.

Mr Balfour is also a Director of Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc.

Mr Balfour and his connected parties have no interest in the shares of the Company.

No disclosures are required for Mr Balfour in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13R (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.
