On 27 July 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 160,737 ordinary shares at a price of 237.3505p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,834,791 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 93,748,411 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
