Cobham APPOINTS RENÉ MÉDORI aS A non-executive DIRECTOR

Cobham plc announces the appointment of René Médori as a Non-executive Director, effective from 1 January 2018.  He will also join the Board's Audit and Risk Committees, becoming Chairman of the Audit Committee in April 2018.

René was Finance Director at Anglo American plc for 12 years, having retired at its AGM in April 2017.  Prior to joining Anglo American he held a number of senior financial positions, including Group Finance Director at The BOC Group plc. 

Since 2013 he has been on the Board of Petrofac plc and the Chairman of their Audit Committee, having become Senior Independent Director earlier this year. Before that, he was a Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at SSE plc.

René holds a doctorate degree in economics and degrees in finance and economics from the Universite de Paris - Dauphine, France.

Cobham confirms there are no further disclosures to be made under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
