London open: Stocks gain ahead of US inflation reading

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Thursday, taking their cue from Wall Street, where the S&P 500 and Nasdaq notched more record highs, as investors eyed the latest US consumer price inflation reading.
At 0830 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.4% at 9,261.15.
