London open: Stocks make gains in quiet trade

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Monday in what looked set to be a fairly quiet start to the week, with little in the way of either corporate or macro news to get markets moving.
At 0830 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.3% at 9,120.01.
