London open: Stocks gain as tariff worries ease; Sainsbury's rallies after update

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Tuesday as worries about Trump's tariff plans eased and as investors mulled the latest house and shop price data.
At 0825 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.3% at 8,784.12.
