London close: FTSE hits another record high as pharma stocks rally

(Sharecast News) - London stocks hit another record high on Wednesday, boosted by strong gains in the pharmaceuticals sector as bad news spelled good news on the US jobs front after the latest ADP report missed expectations.
The FTSE 100 ended up 1% to 9,446.43.
