London close: Stocks rise amid trade deal hopes but gains muted

(Sharecast News) - London stocks ended in the black on Monday amid hopes of a trade deal between the US and China, but gains were muted after the recent rally.
The FTSE 100 closed up just 0.1% at 9,653.82.
