London open: Stocks rise as Next rallies on guidance upgrade; Fed announcement eyed

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Wednesday, with Next pacing the gains after a guidance upgrade, as investors eyed the latest policy announcement from the US Federal Reserve.
At 0830 GMT, the FTSE 100 was up 0.4% at 9,730.31, following a record close in the previous session.
