London open: FTSE gains amid renewed hopes of Fed rate cut

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Monday amid renewed hopes of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve next month, as investors looked ahead to this week's Budget.
At 0830 GMT, the FTSE 100 was up 0.4% at 9,578.65.
