US durable goods orders rise 0.5pc in September

(Sharecast News) - US durable goods orders rose modestly in September, according to the Census Bureau.
New orders for manufactured durable goods increased 0.5% month‑on‑month, following an upwardly revised 3% gain in August and topping consensus estimates for a 0.3% rise.
