London open: FTSE gains amid earnings flurry

(Sharecast News) - London stocks rose in early trade on Friday, hitting fresh highs as investors mulled a flurry of results from the likes of Rightmove, Melrose and IAG.
At 0900 GMT, the FTSE 100 was up 0.4% at 10,891.35.
